The 27th Qingdao International Beer Festival will have six parallel sessions starting from August 4 to 27

Slogan: Ganbei with the world

Time: August 4 to 27, 2017

The 27th Qingdao International Beer Festival officially kicked off at the Golden Beach of West Coast New Area on Friday. With its theme “GANBEI with the world”, the event will last till August 27.
 
Meng Fanli, mayor of Qingdao,counselors of foreign diplomats, delegations from home and abroad, as well as tourists joined the opening ceremony and opened the first barrel of beer of the festival.
 
Chinese Star Huang Xiaoming was also among the guests to open the first barrel. He is the image ambassador of this year’s festival.
 
With a live show “Langya, where Dreams Begin”, parades, fireworks, and continuous music, the opening ceremony teemed with passion and joy.
 
By night, it has become a passionate party with visitors chinking glasses, and toasting each other. Inebriating drinkers joined performers at stage to sing and dance.
 
To ensure safety of the festival, organizers have installed over 100 security surveillance cameras. Meanwhile, 14 bus routes and 4 shuttle buses will pass the Beer City.
 
With increasing car ownership in China, organizers have increased parking lots with 3000 new parking spaces.
 
Golden Beach is the main venue of the 24-day beer festival this year. It also has five other sub-venues including Laoshan, Licang, Pingdu, JImo and Jiaozhou.
 
Qingdao has hosted the annual International Beer Festival since 1991. It is Asia's largest beer festival and has been recognized as one of the top 10 festivals in China.
